The cheapest campervan in the Spaceships range is called the Beta. Although its category name is budget campervan, the features and the vehicle are anything but budget. The price is low, and the features are as you would expect from Spaceships: all cooking and sleeping gear is included so you just need to bring yourself and your luggage and buy some food and drinks.
Oh, and maybe a travel mate or two or three. The Beta standard campervan has belted seating for up to four people, so you travel with mates and share the costs of travel. If you’re travelling as a group of 3 or 4, you might want to bring a tent as two people can sleep inside the Beta campervan.
As the Beta standard or budget campervan does have a backseat, up to 4 people can sit in the standard campervan. Travelling together is more fun, right? The backseat is a swivelling backseat that can be turned sideways so you sit back and relax while enjoying the view, after a long day of hiking. A cosy seating area with an amazing view.
The Beta standard campervan has two sliding doors, making it super easy to get into the vehicle. Or to get to the storage area which is located under the bed area. Easy as.
And you don’t need to bring any sleeping bags or sheets as the Beta comes fully equipped with all sleeping gear: sheets, duvet and pillows. The same goes for the cooking gear, everything you need to create yummy campervan-cooked meals is included: gas cooker, pans, utensils, plates, cups and cutlery. You just need to add some ingredients, which can be bought from a supermarket close to our depots.
The Beta campervan is the first campervan you see when comparing all Spaceships campervan sin New Zealand. It is the most basic model, a standard model. Its price is the lowest of all Spaceships campervans in the New Zealand fleet. Therefore we call the Beta campervan the budget campervan option. It is the cheapest campervan you can find in the Spaceships fleet.
But don't be fooled by words like budget or cheap. Its price may be low, its features are just as complete as any other Spaceship. And of course, it is well-maintained and cared for by our team of mechanics. The only thing that is budget is the price of the Beta campervan. When you book this campervan online you'll know you are getting the best deal, actually, we guarantee it. Travelling in the budget campervan in New Zealand won't break the bank.
The Beta campervan comes with more items included for free. Of course, the sleeping and cooking gear but also a rear awning. The rear awning is the perfect solution for those warm New Zealand summer or Indian summer nights (December to March). The bed will be partially extended outwards and the rear awning covers it. It’s like sleeping in a tent, but you’re lying on your comfy campervan mattress.
The free Spaceships camping app and the free NZ Frenzy guidebooks will take you to beautiful remote places in New Zealand. Getting off the beaten path is a piece of cake with the Beta, our budget campervan option.
The Beta standard campervan is the only Spaceships campervan that has the option to add a baby or child seat (ISOFIX). One child or baby seat can be fixed onto the backseat of the Beta campervan. Bring your own child seat or hire one from us.
Just like other Spaceships, you can book the Beta campervan one-way without any extra fees. At Spaceships, we don’t believe in adding fees or hiding costs. It’s all included in one low price, the total price you see is the price you’ll pay.
