Call Spaceships via Data (4G/5G or wifi)

All Spaceships bookings come with a free SIM card - physical SIM card or eSIM - with local New Zealand number so you can make & receive calls. All you have to do is activate the card by adding money and/or buying a data/minute pack.

Don't want to use the free SIM or forget to activate it? You can also call us via data (4G/5G or wifi) when on the road, no calling minutes needed. This is a new service that we're testing. Just click the button below to start a web call. When connected simply select the right phone menu option to be transferred to the right Spaceships Team or Roadside Assistance.

All you need is data - 4G/5G mobile data or wifi - to make a Web Call. You don't need a SIM card or local minutes.

Menu options when connected to Spaceships HQ

As soon as you are connected to Spaceships HQ, you'll have the following options:

1. option #1 to book a Spaceship (sales team)
2. option #2 to talk to a crew member about your booking (customer service team)
3. option #3 to talk to NZRA aka roadside assistance (available 24 hours a day)

You can call the Spaceships Crew between 9am and 5pm (New Zealand time) on working days, while Roadside Assistance is available 24/7.

Can I call you via WhatsApp?

Is a question Space Travellers have asked us a lot. Especially because the friendly Spaceships New Zealand Crew can be contacted via WhatsApp Chat. But as there are more chat apps that support calling - hello Signal, Threema, Matrix and all other cool apps - we didn't want to be locked in when it comes to web calling or calling Spaceships via data (4G/5G or wifi), no SIM card or mobile minutes needed.

Therefore we have created this virtual phone booth to call the Spaceships Crew via data. Simply click the call button on this page and you'll be connected to our regular phone line via data, so you don't need a SIM card or minutes on your card. Easy as.
